The Maverick Bank Building (1884-1921), named the Swearingen-McCraw Building after 1894 is evident at the SW corner of Houston and Alamo. The Hugo & Schmeltzer building has been razed (1915) and the Alamo Convento (Long Barracks) walls are espaliered. The North Plaza Park (1915-1939) is present.
