Hoffheinz Hardware (1883) having bought out L. Scheihagen who Hoffheinz was clerking for until this year at this location and placed his own name on the store and that Oscar Pettitpain and Charles Lea, second hand furniture dealers, at the SW corner of the plaza have a short association and that the first year for Reid and Simms “Occident” Saloon cannot be earlier or later than 1884.
