Photo crop exposure date: unknown.Exposure date (or window) of subject photo: 1868-1871Subject: Photo crop of Main Plaza. The view is WNW showing the east and south elevation of the Frost building, located just north of San Fernando Cathedral. Frost history states the building was originally known as Carolan’s Auction House, however, the building existed prior to his tenancy. The front is removed as of 1 July 1867 and in the Fall of 1868 a new front is installed. In 1871 the building is razed and a new 2 story building with a basement is constructed. T.C. Frost no longer advertises as “Frost & Bro” as of 1881.
