Subject: Slightly different photo crop of a Post Card with typed original ascription “Mexican Chili Stands, San Antonio, Texas.” Subject card rendering depicts US Post office (completed August 1890) North side of Alamo Plaza. Hugo & Schmeltzer building (1877) is present to the east. Plaza fountain (installed in 1903 and removed in 1910) is shown surrounded by tables. Streetcar tracks at left. View is NNE from Alamo Street. Additional cut block in top left corner carries "www.thealamocity.com".
