Photo crop exposure date: unknown. Exposure date (or window) of subject photo: 1871-1877. Subject: Alamo Chapel and plaza. City station for accounting of carts loaded with rubble stone is present in front of chapel. City began this program in earnest after its purchase of the Galera in1871. The plaza is becoming one as the dividing stonework between the Plaza de Valero and Alamo Plaza is removed. The Convento (north of chapel) has not yet been overbuilt by wooden warehouse of Honore Grenet which occurs in 1877. View is NNE across plaza.
