This image of Officer porter is of special significance due to his cap piece. Most officers simply had their badge number placed in the slot at the bottom of the piece. Some officers, however, had their job assignments designationed. As can be seen under magnification, Officer Porter's cap piece reads BICYCLE, which would indicate he was at some point in time, a bicycle officer.
