Riely Gordon and constructed between 1891 and 1896, the Bexar County Courthouse, a Romanesque Revival structure, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is a Texas Historic Landmark. The San Antonio courthouse continues to host the civil courts of Bexar County, while the criminal courts have moved next door into the Cadena-Reeves Justice Center.
