Alamo Plaza

Photo crop exposure date: unknown. Exposure date (or window) of subject photo: 1890. Subject: Photo crop of a picture card of Alamo Plaza with hand printed ascription “ALAMO PLAZA 1890.” The view is ESE and elevated across the plaza showing Plaza Park under construction. Almost certainly taken from one of the balconies of the Maverick Bank Building (1884). Menger Hotel (1859) has barber shop in sidewalk shop next to Carter & Mullaly’s livery/undertakers. Streetcar operation remains mule drawn.
