The Gallagher Building (1878) on Corner of Blum Street and Alamo Street houses the US Post Office. US Post Office and Court House (1890) at north end of Alamo Plaza is not present in photograph. Millinery and Fine Goods shop of Miss Paulina Schneider at 20 North Alamo (opened in 1884/1885) is present. Streets and plaza not yet paved (1888). View is NNE and elevated almost certainly from A. Scholz’s “Workingmen’s Hall” (1877) at 9-11 North Alamo.
