Subject: Photo crop of Police Headquarters and Detective Building interior. The teletype machine she is operating is a Model 19, made by the RTTY Electronics Company, in the Bay Area of California. It is a 1940s vintage machine. Photograph first appears in the 1954 SAPD Annual Report with the caption: “The teletype plays an important part in communications.”
