Advertising has been placed on the construction site wall that reads in part "15 London & Barnum Shows." This particular name was only used once for a particular set of shows and only occurred in 1889.

The banner displays an ascription of "ca 1867". However, (I would argue) due to the "cart control station" which can be seen in front of the chapel, it would appear almost certain that the date is after 1871 when the city offered stone and rubble for sale in Alamo Plaza and Plaza de Valero at 50 cents a cartload and before 1877 when Honore Grenet) purchases the property immediately north and west of the chapel. The photograph is from the site "Alamo Images: From Then to Now" operated by the University of Texas, Dallas.

The studio moved in 1892.
